We are pleased to inform that Institute of Seatransport is going to organize an on-line course named “Dry Cargo Chartering (Voyage & Time Charter)” which will be conducted on 12th Oct, 19th Oct and 26th Oct 2022 respectivley, three consecutive Wednesday evenings.

The course has been submitted for application for the accreditation of CPD points by the Law Society of Hong Kong.

FYI, the course has been included in the pre-approved list of the “Professional Training and Examination Refund Scheme” under the Maritime and Aviation Training Fund (MATF) of the Transport and Logistics Bureau. Under the Scheme, successful applicants will be refunded 80% of the fees for completing pre-approved courses/examinations.

Mr. CHEUNG Shun Man (Manson)

 

Manson is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators & an Accredited Mediator of Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre & Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited.

 

Manson has 40 years’ experience in different sectors of the Maritime Industry. Sea going experience on multi-purpose vessel, bulk carriers and container ship, working experience as port agent, charterers, ship managers (chemical tankers, tween-deckers, loggers and bulkers), chartering and SNP Broker.

 

Manson has 30 years’ part-time teaching experience. From 1992 onwards, Manson has been the evening tutors/instructors/lecturers for different courses on Ship Management, COGSA, Chartering, Bills of Lading, law of contract, negligence, dispute resolution & Agency conducted by Hong Kong Polytechnic, Hong Kong Shippers’ Council, Institute of Seatransport/City University of Hong Kong (SCOPE)/Vocational Training Council, Hong Kong Baptist University, Swire Agency, TT Club and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Hong Kong Branch. Manson is the evening lecturer of various courses (Certificate, Higher Diploma and Professional Diploma) of The University of Hong Kong (SPACE).

 

Manson was the Vice-Chairman (General) of Institute of Seatransport in 2002-2004, 2008-2010, and is the Vice-Chairman (Internal) of Institute of Seatransport since 2020, Vice-Chairman of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Hong Kong Branch since 2006, Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Logistics Management Staff Association since 2004.

 

Manson was Member of the Logistics Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) from 2010 to 2015 and is appointed by HKUSpace as Assessor of Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) mechanism for the Logistics Industry in the clusters “Sea Freight Operations Management (Ship)” & “Sea Freight Operations Management (Ship Chartering)” since 2017, appointed by EDB as member of the Maritime Services Training Board since 2019 and appointed by MARDEP as member of Hong Kong Fleet Operations Advisory Committee since 2021
